Week 26

Two weeks till hand in

This week I wanted to focus on our creative cut project .

I have really struggled with this so far and it had taken a really long time to get my pattern right.

I have not enjoyed trying to figure out the draping on the shirt. This has been a really long process and I am still worried it will not look as good in my final fabric as it is much thinner than I thought. Next time I need to make sure the toile is made in a fabric that is a similar weight to my final fabric.

This week I have been adement to get all the pattern pieces just right to ensure I have no problems with my final piece. Though this has taken me so long to perfect, I think it was the right thing to spend time on, hopefully when I sew my final piece next week it will be a quick process as I have kept note of every step and ensured everything fits together correctly.

I am very nervous for the final piece as I have put so much effort into creating this design I hope it turns out well.

This piece has become a true labour of love, as with most of my creations so I really hope it comes across well to everyone who sees it.

I have also spent a lot of time perfecting my work on illustrator such as my final line up and tecnical flats. This has taken longer than I expected especially as I do not have illustration on my laptop and have to use the university computers. However I plan to have this done by next tuesday latest.

I have completed my essay and vlog and am really happy with these, especially the vlog as I not only have loved working with stella, but also enjoyed creating my first ever vlog for the process.
