THE TENT DRESS

This Garment will fade with exposure to sunlight and with washing, its naturally dyed and therefore not as colour fast as synthetic dyes. This is not a bad thing, how and when you wear this will determine what it becomes, this piece is unique to you and your life.

Fabrics- 100% Cotton drill - Whaleys Bradford 

Polyester Mesh-MyFabrics

Toggles, Zip, Seam Tape- Etsy/Tent poles and Eyelets- Amazon/100% Cotton Thread - Gutremann

HOW IT WAS DYED:

This Tent Dress was dyed with turmeric. Using an Alum mordant it was hand dyed by Rebecca Brown to ensure the process was monitored and to gather a deeper understanding of what goes into dyeing fabrics. . 

HOW TO CARE, STORE AND WASH: Best stored hanging with poles removed, away from direct sunlight.  hand wash in cold water with mild detergent. do not bleach. iron on a low heat setting.

Imagine, Its golden Hour, the warm glow from the sun casts its rays on your safari tent. The crickets begin to sing. You look out from your campsite, the Zambezi River glistens, cool drink in hand you find yourself experiencing the moment, no fears of the future, no worries of the past, Just you and the African Sun.
