Monday: today I focused on my group and how we planned to do our presentation on Friday.

Tuesday: today I was able to sit in on stellar toile review, I found this incredibly valuable as I didn't realise exactly how much thought goes into acquiring just the right look. I realised the importance of placement of things such as zips, so they not only function well but add to the design aesthetic as well. changing things by as little as a centimetre can effect the overall look of the garment. From this I have taken the importance of checking every detail. thought tis is time consuming, it really improves the finished product and ensures you have put every ounce of love and care into your creation.

Wednesday: my plan for today was to complete my technical flats. Thankfully I managed to do this and a huge weight has lifted off this project now. I have begun to understand just how important it is to stick to your schedule and do the work when you said you would. Because I finished this before the deadline, I then had time to help Eve finalise presentation details and write up what I was going to say on Friday. this has left me feeling much more prepared. As far as the flats are concerned, though it has taken me so long to complete them I am happy with the outcome, they may not be perfect but I am proud of this as a first attempt.

Thursday: today was rather manic as there was a mad rush to finish everything for our presentation. Eve and I managed to print some fabric samples using the sublimation printer. this was enjoyable and surprisingly less expensive than I had first imagined. It was a great feeling to see the prints I had designed on fabric. this is something I plan to do more of, and consider for our next project.

Friday: Today was our group presentation for our market futures brief. Despite feeling really nervous at the beginning I believe our group did really well. everyone spoke with confidence and I am incredibly proud and happy with our group. Especially Sasha who had stayed up so late to make sure our final line up was a cohesive collection. I managed to mess up my words at the beginning, which frustrated me as id spent so much time preparing for it. but when I came to speak on the print my passion for it bought through a new confidence.

After our presentations we had a briefing on our final project for first year! I found this incredibly overwhelming as the amount of work we now have to do is huge.

I plan to have a break this weekend and read the brief again next week and sit down and plan out my time and finances to ensure everything gets done.
