In our second life drawing class I found it surprisingly harder than the first. tom asked us to focus on the model and basically draw blind, without looking at our work, this was really hard because you constantly want to glance back and make sure its okay. I cam out with some pretty weird shapes, but it was good to stop worrying about how it looks so much and really focus on what we could see infant of us, it made me more aware of different aspects such as muscle definition in the arms, and the fact the there are very few straight lines on the body.

Our third life drawing session was focused on the use of line and tone. At the beginning of your lesson our tutor told us to hold our pencil out in front of us, this was our guide for proportion, angles and lines.
We were told about how both can be used, lines for defining edges, and tone for a more realistic description of the human form. This is because the body is not really made up of many straight edges at all. We were given half an hour to draw a line drawing, then 15 mins to just capture the light using a beam on the model. we did this on black paper and used chalk. I found although I managed to capture some elements for this one I should have used the chalk more sparingly and blended more.
For the final drawing we were given 45 mins to incorporate both line and tone into our work, I found this hard as I struggles with proportions, however I am happy with the final result.
