Moving on from the collage we did, Tom had us creating strange forms with straws to see what lines we could create and just how crazy we could get with our ideas. I really liked how mine turned out, they reminded me of graffiti around Norwich. This is something I would love to include in my designs. Maybe in the shape, or use of small pops of colour.

From here, we gathered a bunch of random materials and tried to create more 3d collages. I found this really difficult because I didn't really know what to do with it. The mistake I made was looking around at other peoples because I automatically felt like my ideas where not as good. Now I realise that although I struggled with it, everyones ideas where so different and I came up with some good ideas for how I would construct my designs. Pleating looked great and I plan to incorporate this into my final designs.

We also worked with a half scale mannequin, playing around with different materials to create interesting shapes on the body. I found this really fun to do, It made it easier to picture ideas actually on a human form, seeing what worked and what didn't in terms of the architectural theme. We then used this to create new ideas on photoshop.

I love this Moulded look, I'd love to try and create this with folds on one of my final pieces.

This one looks like a random bunch of stuff. I don't really like how it turned out, but I wanted to try out different lines across the body after being inspired by the straw exercise.

I love this one, I think I could recreate this with pleats or paneling. The top reminds me of a photo I took at the Royal Arcade in Norwich city centre of the roof.

This I love. I have no idea how I would use it in my designs, but I love the squiggly lines. maybe it won't be used for my final piece, but I really love it.
