Here in Zimbabwe, is a vital part of life, without it, crops fail, and as agriculture is still a major part of the economy it is not just a relief from the hot dry winters but essential to those that rely on it to eat, and earn a living.
The first rains are incredibly special to Zimbabweans. The smell of a coming storm fills us with hope; the thick dusty damp smell reminds us that the dry Savannah land will soon be full of green and exotic flowers bright, beautiful colours. Africa at its finest.
For our School's first ever Fashion Show we were tasked with designing and making something inspired by the African landscape at this time of year.

The show was amazing, I walked out onto the catwalk and all I could here was cheering. I was so grateful for the crowds response.
